George Tosikian was born in Piraeus in 1981. He studied guitar next to Iakovos Kolanian, at the “Contemporary Conservatory of Athens”, attending, at the same time, master class lessons with: M. Barrueco, R. Dyens, O. Ghiglia, E. Asimakopoulos and G. Hatzinikos.
He graduated in June of 2004 gaining the first mark with all votes to his diploma.
At the age of 10 he won the First Prize at a Panhellenic contest for new guitarists, organized by the Municipal Center of N. Ionia. On May 2005, he gave a recital at the auditorium of the “Conservatoire Filippos Nakas”, compelling great admiration and commendatory words from both public and critics.
At the 13th International Hermoupolis Guitar competition, he won the first prize, getting at the same time a distinction from the Guitar Friends Association ‘’ Dimitris Fampas ‘’.
Recently George Tossikian won the first prize at the Patra‘s Guitar Competition.
He also participated in European Music Day events 2007, giving a recital at the National Garden of Athens.
